Things You Can Get From Travelling Alone At Least Once In Your Life
Travelling alone is something that is not very common especially for women. Some see it as dangerous, too bold, or just plain improper. This generation, however, has seen more and more women travelling solo and going back happier and with plenty of stories to share.
Online, you will find blog posts on basic travel tips but on this article, you will learn about what travelling solo can give you. Why many are addicted to it and why you should try it even at least once. Let’s get started.
Going on a trip with no one to carry your bags for you, split the taxi bill with, or take your pictures will push you to devise ways on how to accomplish all these tasks on your own. You would learn how to mix and match outfits so you can pack light, discover car sharing platforms or just walk to save on transportation, and use all the resources you have available: your tripod, camera sling, a stone, or whatever, to be able to take decent photographs.
Many travel blog will tell you how solo travelling improved the bloggers’ confidence in talking to strangers, asserting their rights, and asking for favors. When you have no one to protect you, you would have to stand up and do things your way to keep your trip safe but still fun.
3. Sense of Direction
One of the best things that solo travelling can give you is an improved sense of direction. You would have to learn how to go about this new place. Getting lost can be fun too, but being able to go from one location to another can give you a great sense of accomplishment.
All these and more await you if you try travelling alone. It’s a liberating feeling and I must say I’m kind of addicted to it now. Read more of my solo travel stories here at Peng and Paper, www.pengandpaper.com.
